Read this book on New Years eve. It's a hell of a laugh. Lots of wizards, wankers, and weed. The main character is a dodgy drunk who doesn't know fuck all about being a proper wizard. He drugs his nephew off his tits to frame him for robbing his work, but ends up getting pinched, and so they're both on the run. It's fucking ridiculous.

idk but it seems existentialism is pretty cool in the depressing time that is 2021. So read Nietzsche or something idk. Currently reading Will to Power its pretty cool but I gave it to a college sophomore going for minor in English and he said it was difficult to read so I guess you can assume the difficulty. Not the most easy or convenient read but it brings one hell of a point.

I've always really wanted to write science fiction stories, but I realise it's a difficult genre to to write in, because, when you look at who the great science fiction writers were, they all seem to have had friends who were eminent scientists.

I read somewhere that unless you have a great understanding of the latest theoretical science it is impossible to make science fiction writing credible.
Basically that good science fiction writers are very well connected to the academic science world.

Is it true that it's a waste of time even trying to write science fiction unless your friends are scientists?

My teacher suggest me always to read a lot of literature. Also Protect the time and space in which you write. Keep everybody away from it, even the people who are most important to you.
