I categorize my personal gear according to function and mission objective. Specifically there are 2 modes of operation for your load-out gear: Raid mode, and Bug-Out mode. Raid-mode emphasizes combat effectiveness and mobility; you would go with raid gear for most missions once you have an established HQ. Bug-out mode is exactly what you think and can be further split into 2 common categories: Automotive, and On-Foot.

Here's an idea of what my Raid gear looks like sans the combat harness and weapons.

My go bag for just about everything. Also use this for hiking. I lay it out for myself about every 2 months. The Tension Pneumothorax Needles are expired but I imagine they'd still work. I noticed that a lot of people do not have proper first aid at hand and I think that might be a mistake. Not shown are rat fucked MRE's. I figured those are a given.

Some very overlooked tools I have. I think a decent amount of practice spent rake picking goes a long way. I'm not a locksmith but having the option to quietly get into locks is essential. I prefer gerbers to leatherman for price reasons. Still a great tool
