Gentleman,

Today I come to you looking for recommendations. I have decided to assemble my own side arm in the fashion of a Glock 19. My question is, who do you trust to get parts from? There are a million and a half websites selling lowers, slides and barrels. Does anyone have experience with any of them?

If you want a Glock 19 compatible frame specifically, polymer80 PF940C is still probably your best option. Midway liquidated their stock when the ATF comment period for receiver definition changes came out, and I picked up a second PF940C (as well as some other frames) at a deep discount. Brownell's is also out of everything except their the PF940v2 (Glock 17 frame), which is pretty nice too, and only a tiny bit larger than the G17. There are still reliable sites that do have stock of the PF940C though. I have used 80-lower dot com several times, and they still have stock in several colors. The caveat is they charge the full MSRP on them plus a flat rate shipping that isn't super cheap (roughly $16). The up side is you can get everything else to complete your Glock19 (complete rear serrated upper slide and lower parts kit) there at the same time for $429. If you 3d print, there are some nice freeman versions out there that do work well too, however you will need to buy or make rails separately (and sometimes you have to find a locking block separately too). Glock 19 complete uppers and lower parts kits have finally had supply side catch up and prices come down, so you can find full kits on Ebay for under $500 now. If you are still interested in building your own, need help, or just want to chat about builds, stop by #gg on 7chan IRC, and hang out for a while (it might take a few for a response due to jobs and such). Pic is of my completed and uncompleted PF940C frames.

I typo'd in there. Meant to say the G17 is only a tiny bit larger than the G19 if you were considering the remaining stock at Brownell's.

Thanks for the reply. Your picture is exactly what I am wanting to do. Unfortunately it seems like I picked the worst (best?) time to take on this project, as the jigs seem to be sold out everywhere. Plus it looks like the ATF has gotten a hard-on for Poolymer80, which I am sure isn't helping things.

For polymer80 solutions, the jig, drill bits, and rails/locking block ship with the frame in the same box (roughly $159.99msrp). Most of the other polymer handgun 80% frames sell the Jig and tools separate from the frame though.
For a while polymer80 was selling "buy, build, shoot" kits, which was everything you needed to build a complete pistol including a magazine and case. The only thing you had to supply was ammunition and basic tools. That fully aroused the ire of the ATF, and led to them raiding their Nevada warehouse.
