Lord Nelson's swordpistol.

I guess it was only good in the flintlock age of firearms , if at all.

Nowadays, even if you're one of the 0.0000000001% of soldiers that gets himself into a hand to hand combat it is still better to shoot full auto at point blank.

Would be cool to see modern guns come with a blade ala out-the-front retractable automatic.All that would have to be done is for the handle to have a rail attachment.That way you can just attach and remove when you need to use it for utility tasks.

I have a coldsteel greatsword second from a sale on the special projects website. I got it for like 175 and the only issue it had was a slightly loose guard. The edge also needed some work but it was just a simple burr.It's a serious beast.

If you like Hanwei..The claymore and the lowlander are nice and really well priced if you look around. Kult of athena,manventureoutpost,etc.

I don't imagine why, even then, a sword pistol combo would provide any benefit. Sword weighs down the gun making it harder to use, gun limits use of the sword, and isn't necessarily designed to hit things directly like a sword

The weight of the sword counters the force of the projectile reducing recoil and allowing for a larger projectile while maintaining accuracy.

I should rehaft this one with a "drop down" haft (one that has no shoulder, and the head is fitted from the bottom).
