What is Cyberpunk?
It's complicated.

Cyberpunk died when people started fetishizing dystopia. You all understand that cyberpunk is supposed to be a resistance movement, right? Now people are basically welcoming economic disparity and invasive surveillance with open arms. It's fucked.

"Anything that can be done to a rat can be done to a human being."
As technology progresses that quote only becomes more and more horrifying. I am not looking forward to the future.

You can't fit a human being in a box that's slightly larger than a rat.
You can't impregnate a human with rat semen.

So there's at least two things you can do to a rat that you can't do to a human being.

>You can't fit a human being in a box that's slightly larger than a rat.
You can with a blender and a compressor.
>You can't impregnate a human with rat semen.
With current tech' you can but the cell dies almost immediately and fails to divide. With future tech' and unsanctioned gene splicing you most certainly can.

>You can with a blender and a compressor.
If you juicify a human being, it's no longer a human being, but a pile of watery gelatin with bone fragments thrown in.
Liquids are incompressible. Only gasses and plasmas can be compressed.
>With future tech' and unsanctioned gene splicing you most certainly can.
It wouldn't be rat semen, then. It would be genetically modified rat semen.

If you're going to argue semantics:

>>You can't fit a human being in a box that's slightly larger than a rat.
Bosavi woolly rat: 82cm 1.5kg
Kimberley Mueller: 26cm 0.3kg

>You can't impregnate a human with rat semen.
Rat (informant)
Definition:
one who reveals confidential information in return for money

>Bosavi woolly rat: 82cm 1.5kg
>Kimberley Mueller: 26cm 0.3kg
The Bosavi woolly rat belongs to Mallomys, not to Rattus, which is the genus the word "rat" refers to if not further specified.

>Rat (informant)
>Definition:
>one who reveals confidential information in return for money
Oh, I see. So when you say "rat", you really mean "snitch". That leaves me a bit confused as to why you'd bring up a species of non-human animal, all of which are incapable of snitching on anyone.
Also, the statement "anything that can be done to a snitch can be done to a human being" is either a) tautological, or b) undemonstrable. a) if the word "snitch" refers exclusively to humans; b) if it can also refer to non-human creatures that may capable of snitching at an unspecified point in the future.
