You can disable automatic reboot in event of a kernel panic (BSOD), that'd come close to ruling out a crash causing the reset.
Right click on start, Run, sysdm.cpl, OK, advanced, settings under startup & recovery, uncheck the box next to automatically restart, ok, ok, reboot. Now if the OS crashes it'll stay at a blue screen. Pic related, it's the Win10 version of a BSOD.
But going into a completely new environment like Linux is a better test if you can live with it for long enough for you to be confident that it's not happening.
If its still happening I'd say your power supply is probably the cause. Never ever skimp on the PSU.
