I don't even remember the last time that I reviewed a hentai manga, but I read one yesterday which compelled me to share it. Seishokuki by Inamitsui Shinji had me hooked. It has a little futa, a little yuri, a little solo action, a little vanilla, and a monster sex. The description involving a high school girl in a powerful alien swimsuit made me think I was going to read a cheesecake story, but this is not cheesecake.

I went looking for some light echi material for a quick stroke. The website Mangakakalot categorizes this series as echi, but I see that there's a full on tentacle rape scene in Chapter 3, so this is smut (in a good way).

False advertisement was the first strike against it. The second was that I initially didn't care for the art style. That style, however, grew on me. The story was bat-shit-crazy enough that after each chapter, I wanted to see what sexual situation would the plot lead us to next. The reason I kept reading to the end was that I found the characters compelling enough to hold my interest.

40 chapters and counting… We've got currently forty chapters translated and posted. I power read through all forty last night. The series is on-going. UPDATE: Since I wrote those sentences, seven more chapters were posted.

Summary: A seventeen year old high school honor student serves as our protagonist, Izumi. She's got a very strong libido to the point where she frequently excuses herself from class to go to a bathroom or nurse's office to relieve herself, and she feels self-conscious and a little guilty about this (although most of us have done this). Then some aliens show up called the Stuffed Animal Aliens because they look just like mascots in goofy fury costumes. The aliens are hunted by a busty bunny girl who is also an alien and an old enemy of these Stuffed Animal Aliens. From the bunny girl and a secret government agency, Izumi is given a suit of power armor which transforms her sexual energy into a destructive energy attack that can reduce the aliens to dust. Did I write “power armor”? I of course meant power suit, and by suit, I mean a string bikini because reasons. This world does have it's own rules and a cast of diverse characters despite the entirely cheesecake plot.

Verdict: It strikes a really nice balance for me between titlation, story, and goofy sci-fi action.
