I enjoy gore just because it makes me think about life and how short it is, and how we all die someday possibly painfully (like the millions of slaughtered animals on a daily basis). I like to put myself in the shoes of the person dying as I've been in a few near death situations myself. However I'm not sure if gore is /grim/ related as this is a depression board and there's lots of gore that isn't depression inducing, like people dying in darwin award ways for example.
