It's kind of a crapshoot, and it seems to just ignore you completely in private, chrome has had a serious case of the devs going "my way or the highway" for a while now, similar situation with not being able to turn off suggestions in the address bar (i.e. you have to present in a meeting, punch in "e" and get exhentai links popping, official dev response was "just don't have favorites lol"), seems better just to ditch it
anyway to answer OP I've been trying palemoon, decent fork of firefox, seems to work for swf just fine
