Normally I have my tea with milk. I'm out of milk, so I added lemon juice instead. However, I accidentally added too much lemon. It's not so much that the tea is undrinkable, it's just more sour than I would prefer.

That's unfortunate.
I usually don't have anything with my laurel tea.

Are the type of dried bay leaves used in cooking suitable for brewing laurel tea?

Dear John,
Have you considered drinking your tea straight? I for one started after I realized I looked rather silly adding sugar packets to my green tea at the Chinese restaurants I frequent. I have since grown to liking the bitter, soothing taste as it does grow on you after a while. Of course, this also eliminates the problems of your tea being too sour and running out of milk; assuming you dislike sour more than bitter. If, however, you rather add something to your tea I would add something sweet to counter the sour. My personal favorite would be honey but sugar will do in a pinch.
Best wishes,
John

I think yes. I just boil dried leaves I got from my dad.

Lemon drink is great. I like having lots of it. I don't have any right now. Life is too bad. Inconceivably bad. lol I have access to lemon iced tea but that's not the same thing. The law of identity shines a light on this scenario. I do not have lemon drink, I simply have a flavored tea with lemon. My existence is tough without this drink. I don't know when my next paycheck is. I'm gonna be in a dire situation without lemon drink and my life is not something I'm excited about honestly. lol

Milk tea is yuck. Lemon with hot tea is neat-o. But that's just me

Now add rum and you have yourself a nice pot o' grog.

Personally I have my tea as plain as it can be; boiled water, enjoyed at about 80 degrees celsius.

I used to think milk in tea was gross.
Then I tried it and I was pleasantly surprised.

You should have added more tea John...

I also suggest switching to coffee, it provides some extra punch that is nice to sweeten off

That's unfortunate, John. Maybe you could add a bit of sugar to lessen the sour bite.

Regards,
- John

His first mistake was thinking milk had a substitute

Except it isn't milk and I doubt it is natural at all

Can't recall many oats dripping with white milk

Dear John,
I hope in the last year you have got a good ratio of lemon to tea, so it is no longer to sour for you.

Kind regards

John

Whenever you drink tea without milk you should realise you are going down a road you cannot go back from. I drink both my coffee and tea without milk now

Dear John,

You are right. I did it deliberately though. I switched to green tea, so I didn't have to keep buying milk at all hours of the day.
This has saved me a lot of time and effort of going to the shop, just for some milk.

Although I do drink tea with milk at some of my friend's houses, as they don't have green tea and I dont mind.

Hope this finds you in good health and a nice cup of tea.

John

Hi John.

One time, I spilled orange Gatorade in my Chicken Noodle Soup. I ate the entire thing anyway, as that was my last can of soup. It was absolutely disgusting.

Be thankful for this sour tea.

Sincerely, John
