Hiya 7chan! ヾ(^∇^)

I'm a little early this month because I want to remind everyone about the upcoming total lunar eclipse! So yeah, this months moon is called the full worm blood moon. The blood moon gets its name because of the reddish hue as it passes through Earths shadow. This will begin at 2:26 AM and continue till 3:31 AM on Friday morning. The moon will also become full during the eclipse at 2:55 a.m. EST on March 14. The entire continental USA 🇺🇸 will have a front row seat for this lunar event!

In ancient times, during full lunar eclipses, Filipinos would go out of their homes with pots and pans and would bang on them to make noise in order to scare the Bakunawa into spitting out the moon back into the sky. The Bakunawa was a moon eating dragon that emerges from the sea. Some made lots of noise, while some played soothing instruments hoping to lure the dragon 🐉 to sleep. Seems counterproductive hmm? 「(゚ペ) Anyways, you shouldn't have anything to fear because we will definitely still have a moon after this... Right? I mean, yeah totally!

The weather here is turning warm and the outlook looks good! I have finally hashed out some plans for Spring awhile back. Next week I will be traveling to Tennessee for my first paid appearance in about two years. I'll be helping promote a new limited release premium patriotic whiskey brand. I will also be taking some of my distant family members to DollyWood. Next month, I will going with some family to Oahu and the Big Island on a Bajit plane. Then a few weeks later I will be taking a cheapy "Zipair" commercial flight back to Japan and will be visiting Okinawa and many of the lower Japanese islands. I still don't know when this year I am going to get to Greenland. Maybe in the fall.

I hope you all have a great viewing! Have you made any plans for Spring and summer yet? Cya! <3

make sure to check out the limestone caves where many japanese soldiers committed suicide and killed Okinawans, the Okinawans are Japanese citizens, but their cultural identity sets them apart from mainland Japanese society. While many Yamato Japanese don’t consider Okinawans to be truly “Japanese,” over 100,000 Okinawans died during the battle in WW2 from the battle or through suicide believing the US troops would torture them

I remember you mentioning something about that. I'd be honored if you posted some lunar calendar posts in my thread or talked about it here. I'd totally be fascinated reading it! I just tend to talk about light hearted things like simple pleasures like watching the sky or adventures traveling.

>>832840
That is a beautiful photo. Is that really the UAE? I'll have to visit sometimes, but it's kinda low on my list.

>>832849
Aww, well it's easy to tell it was just taken with a telephoto lens!

So as I sit here right now, the power in my main home is down and if I had to guess it will probably be back in a few hours. I'm sure many of you heard about the storms in the Midwest moving east. Didn't get much here so far but enough to probably blow a power line down which happens from time to time. What do you all like to do when the power goes out for extended periods of time? I use to read by oil lamp. I could always turn on the propane generator outside, but I kinda like it like this now and then!

pretty sure I also taught you the existence of light pollution maps, and also told you to go to the darkest place in planet earth and extenssively documment the stars and the moon (but must be kept separate because the moon will effectively darken the stars), I also told you to kys multiple times
anyways, you're going by the native american indian moon calendar for the moon names right?? I really find interesting that the ancient cultures of the earth (we whites got our roots cut off by rome a little and by christianity a lot) had fuckloads of thousands of years of sky watching, and they realized a thing or two about the stars and the moon, good thing there's a few still intact. I floew over the amazon the other day in a plane, and I'm pretty sure there are not a few but plenty, fuck-plenty of rare animals, plants and uncontacted tribes in there merely because the virgin amazon is fucking massive, I figure it'll have a good deal of light pollution mitigation, but lels, how do you get there, by boat I figure, even then it'd be super dangerous because those tribe will probably shoot you first with their arrows and ask questions later

fuck you, and bring me my media

Oh damn, it seems I was wrong, it's actually 12 years newer than Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque. If anything the influence is the other way around.. but I did suspect something like turkey to be its location. There are some older ones that both of these were inspired by. And of course architecture in general, but there are some very recognizable elements in the older mosques, I just don't know their names and where they are. But I've seen them.

Heya. Sorry for the late reply, I was gone for a week with family. I am very sure you didn't introduce me to the existence of light pollution maps but you may have linked me to a site that displayed it nicely and for that I thank you. :) I just don't understand why you say airwolf me or this and that. Maybe that's just how you talk on imageboards I hope. Kinda hurts my feelings some because it seems like we might kinda like the same things. I'd still like you to talk about calendars and other moon related things if you want to. Let's be friends going forward!(⌒▽⌒)☆ Did you know Saturn's rings are going to appear so thin on April 11th it will look like it has nearly none at all?

>>832863
Oh cool. Then maybe I will be able to see it sooner. I have a friend who sings and plays the Kanun and he has performed at the Trump Kültür Ve Gösteri Merkezi in years past.

Anyways, I had a great time with my extended family in Tennessee. We went to the smokies and Dollywood and just to keep this moon related, we also went to the Moon Pie factory. (๑>؂•̀๑) I think this is maybe the second time I have eaten a Moon Pie!

Then do you think I should still post full moon reminders anymore? I mean, I've been doing it for many many years and everything must eventually come to an end. I am not exactly the same person when I was much younger all those years ago when I started doing it. No one is really. Time does that kinda stuff.

Oh don't get all sobby on me.. or was that "metaphysical"? Regardless... look, Liru, the truth is - I never liked you, nobody here really did. We only were nice to you because we too like the moon. Apart for your utility as the moon calendar here, I don't think anyone really sees any inherent worth in you. It's good that your family still loves you and all, but out here is the real world, man. Sooner or later you'll have to wake up to reality. We don't love you. We don't like you. The only value you have to us is the utility that you have to the forum. Nobody here would mind if you were one day found having blown your head off woth a shotgun. Maybe Jesus loves you, but even that is hard to believe if we're being objective here.

Such is the cold hard truth.

Carrot$

I hope at least Allah loves you, because honestly, if he don't, I doubt you have much of anyone here or outside the forum except maybe your closest family. Allah loves all the sand niggers, so I reckon he's compassionate enough to see something even in a little shit like you. Anyway, good luck, dude.
