Didn't one of the head designers of studio Nue write this? Those guys had great talent in the late 70s and early 80s. That being said, it was another good sports anime but the classics still trump it heavily.

one thing though, Nice to see Pani Poni Dash getting some mentios. It wasn't comedy aimed at a pop culture crowd, and has aged well.
...Like the second half of Shuffle! (unless you played the VN/AXN). First half of series is haramtrash, the drama after isn't bad. Byt PPD, that's timeless.

Sure was! I enjoyed the heck out of Muranase! Seton Gakuen. Critics hated it, but most of those were shounen fans anyway.

Shounen seems to involve battls. Fists, weapons, gundam, and the like. Lots of "power of friendship" or battles for life.

Seinen has elements of Shounen, but goes in different angles, and really, still have battles. But can have a lot more....silliness at times, and are often comedic.
Yozakura Quartet and recently, Combatants Will Be Dispatched are basically seinen.
Could have gone further, but beer.
