"Susie and the Bear", now on page 8, eventually to disappear unless it gets bumped. I'm actually surprised that it's still on the site.
It's a thinly fictionalized account of true events in my half sister's and my life. Some details were changed to preserve our anonymity, and most of the dialog was completely invented because I couldn't possibly remember exactly what was said that many years ago; however I believe the essence and the spirit are intact.
Yes, I am still alive and reasonably well, in my mid-70's. I served in the Vietnam war from 1966 to 1970. Most of my former life is gone, along with my Angel. Our beautiful orchard and adobe house have been replaced by a vast tract of new housing.
Writing these memoirs has been a catharsis for me, and sharing them here has been a blessing. You have all been very kind to indulge me. Sex was always an integral part of my sister's and my relationship, and our story would not be complete, or even exist, without it.
